Panacea Hospital’s Chairperson, Dr. Subhash Singh, Spearheads Medical Mission to Mozambique

In a recent humanitarian effort, a team of 18 doctors and 8 volunteers from RI District 3080, led by DG Arun Mongia, Chair PDG Ranjit Bhatia, Coordinate PDG Raman Aneja, and Director Dr. Karan Singh, successfully concluded a medical mission in Mozambique, RI District 9210. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities in East Africa.

During their 15-day trip, the team conducted a total of 3713 outpatient department (OPD) consultations and performed 827 surgeries and procedures. The medical interventions covered a wide spectrum of specialties, including ophthalmology, general surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, dental procedures, ENT surgery, dermatology, and neurology.

Among the notable achievements were 331 eye surgeries, 46 general surgeries, 35 plastic surgeries, 57 orthopedic surgeries, 31 gynecological surgeries, 312 dental procedures, 18 ENT surgeries, 556 dermatology consultations, and 397 neurology consultations. This comprehensive range of medical services addressed critical healthcare needs in the region and positively impacted the lives of many individuals.

Dr. Subhash Singh, a distinguished Orthopedic Surgeon with over 23 years of experience, and Chairperson of Panacea Hospital, was part of this dedicated team. Specializing in joint replacement and spine surgery, Dr. Singh’s expertise contributed significantly to the success of the mission. Alongside 17 other doctors from various fields, Dr. Singh exemplified the spirit of humanitarianism and professional excellence in delivering much-needed healthcare to those in need.
